LogLogic Hopes To Make Royal Wedding Safe

Nothing excites the national press like a royal wedding. As we all know, Prince William has proposed to Kate Middleton, and by all accounts they seem very happy together. We at LogLogic have a long history in the United Kingdom, and we’d like to make sure this blessed event goes off without a hitch, or a leak to the prying eyes of Fleet Street. To than end, we’ve filed a Freedom of Information Act request, to determine if the UK Government has the appropriate governance and control over sensitive data around the wedding. The request is included below.

Dear Mr. Lowther-Pinkerton,

The forthcoming Royal Wedding is a very exciting event and one that the whole country is looking forward to enjoying. Meanwhile I’m sure that preparations are well underway and that you have a fully-equipped team of event organisations on the case. As such we would like me to submit a Freedom of Information Act request to ensure that any event information, logistics etc. stored on IT databases are being treated with the utmost care and security. Our intention is purely to ensure that you have the correct access privileges in place to ensure that no embarrassing breach of confidential data can occur and mar this special event. We are very conscious that many people and cross-organisations will be involved in the different components to the event and it is in HRH Prince William of Wales’s interest to ensure that data is protected to the upmost degree.

Please see attached for several questions. A response within 20 days as per the FOIA guidelines would be helpful.

Yours faithfully,

Nikki Alvey

The initial response has been quote prompt.  We can’t detail all of the questions we’ve posed right now as we don’t want to give too much away at this point, but we’ll continue posting as we get a response from Her Majesty’s Government. Let’s hope all of their ducks (or Corgis) are firmly in line!
